We have been arranging golf packages of Scotland & Ireland for over 10 years. Many of our clients return for a second visit and some for a third. These are typical of the comments we receive about golf packages arranged by Masterstroke Golf from 2005 to 2008:
“Hello Chris,
I hope everything is fine with you and the family. I was not able to communicate with you after we arrived from the Scotland golf trip in August 2008. The consensus I got from the other six golf mates was the trip was very enjoyable and we were very fortunate, the weather was excellent for the duration of our stay except for a day in Kingsbarns where we experienced the Scottish mist. Our driver was exceptional and he made every situation as comfortable and convenient as possible for our group. Due to this positive feedback, a group of close golf friends are considering a trip this year to Scotland during the summer period. I told my friends you will look after them well! Incidentally, I also gave your contact details to another touring golfer last year. Cheers,”

“Don't know how you managed it but we had seven days of great Irish weather. The itinerary went very well. Courses, transportation, accommodation, Guinness, and Irish hospitality all met expectations. Found all the courses to our liking, especially Tralee and Lahinch, and thanks for suggesting Dingle and Dooks - both gems of a different sort. All our hosts and hostesses at the B&Bs were great. John at the 19th. even gave us a hand with the car. Michael at the Seashore and Margaret at the Moher View were very friendly and accommodating with good advice and plenty of ice (for the Irish whiskey). As for the Scottish visit, we were most appreciative of the arrangements by Masterstroke and your personal attention. Will continue to recommend your services highly! Sincere thanks from the group and best regards.”

“Before our golf trip dims to a memory, I wanted to thank you for another wonderful job. As usual your planning is impeccable and your choices of B&B's were excellent. Our group all agreed that while all accommodation was excellent, the Four Penny Cottage at Dornoch was our favourite. The owner was very accommodating and we were made to feel quite at home. We especially enjoyed Dornoch. While in Nairn, we were able to catch their Highland Games which was an unexpected treat. The castle in Hoylake was a nice change of pace and very nice.
The golf was as challenging as we expected, but still a thrill to play so many great Championship courses. We all thought Royal Dornoch was the best of the courses we played followed by Royal Birkdale and then the Belfry. I am glad we played Royal Liverpool, I can't wait to see Tiger tee off on number 1 with all of the out of bounds on the right. We had a powerful left to right wind that blew all four or our tee shots out of bounds. It was a humbling start. Of course the Old Course is always one of our favorites made even more interesting with the caddies that seem to be able to find every wayward ball and can unerringly read the greens.
Now, it's back to work, but we have already decided that we will return in 2007 (which he did), perhaps to take on more Irish courses. More on that later. Thanks again for your help in putting together another memorable trip. I will continue to send anyone interested in a trip to the UK to you for assistance. There is none better!”

“We really appreciate all of the effort you have put into planning this trip for us, making all of the revisions, and dealing with all of our questions. Based on that fact, the courses and locations that you have recommended, and your competitive price for the package with a driver, I am pleased to tell you that we have selected you and Masterstroke Golf to manage our golf vacation September 24 to October 1, 2006. Your attention to detail and your obvious focus on customer service were deciding factors for us as well”

“Chris, we just got back from our Scotland trip and I wanted to drop you a quick email to say THANKS for the work you did to put this trip together. Everything went very smoothly. The rental vehicle was just the right size, the places we stayed were excellent, and the weather was fantastic. We got some pretty hard rain for 10 holes at Royal Dornoch and that was pretty much it. As for the golf courses, I can't describe how much we enjoyed every one of them. My personal favorite was Royal Dornoch, with the Old Course and North Berwick West close behind. The tee shots at the 1st, 17th, and the 18th at the Old Course I will never forget. And what a view from the 9th tee at Cruden Bay. While we were driving around on the days we were not scheduled to play, we stopped in and got a game at Brora, Peterhead, and the Balcomie course at Crail. We had a great time playing all 3. Again, thank you very much for putting this trip together. I will be talking about this trip for many years to come”

“Once again, thanks for all your help in setting up our Scotland golf vacation, and handling our many questions. All of the 12 courses that we ended up playing were great. We also had a warm reception at each course. Western Gailes, Prestwick, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Turnberry (we played Ailsa and Kintyre), the Old Course and Gleneagles Kings were my favorites. However, I also fully enjoyed and would recommend to others Crail Balcomie, Ladybank, and Glasgow Gailes. We especially appreciated your help in adjusting the hotel and golf schedules on last couple of days. Ladybank and Crail were both fine courses and the Glasgow Airport Ramada was very convenient to the airport. Prior to the trip I did not have high expectations of the accommodation or van (I thought maybe a small one was in the cards), but you vastly exceeded my expectations. The Chrysler minivan was just the right size for the huge amount of golf stuff and luggage that we brought. After spending many nights in pubs or drinking fine wine with our meals, I was nice to have afternoon tee times on most days. We never felt too rushed to get to a course. My sincerest thanks and best regards”.

“I agree with the comments, the B&B stay's were pleasant and with all the golf we would not have been able to sample the Scottish country flavor from a hotel style setting. The people of Scotland were wonderful with great stories and a genuine feeling of friendship. The weather was super, we could all tell from the small amount of rain and wind we did receive that the courses would be much tougher under strong weather conditions.
As far as the Golf, it was a dream come true (especially the Old Course). While my scores were not worthy of detailing, the great times I had are. I am the proud owner of the bunker award (9 on the first day). I won the lip outs and burned cup putting award with no less then 25 of the rub of the green devils (without these my scores may have been worthy of reporting). I own the longest hole out award, 70 yards for par (on the old course). And last but not least, upon my return to Scotland, some of my lost golf balls will still not be found, for no one can go that deep in the Gorse. THANKS again Masterstroke for a jolly good show.”
