Hotel Accommodation
The hotels at which you stay are a very important part of your trip, which is why we go to great lengths to seek out very special properties.
Every category of accommodation we recommend, from modest bed and breakfast accommodations to first class hotels, not only conforms to our requirements, but also meets our strict standards for cleanliness, comfort, service and location. We even go one step further and assess the overall atmosphere and friendliness of the staff.
Frequent inspections by our own staff, together with the feedback of returning clients, is your assurance that whichever category of accommodations you select your hotels will be quite special.
The hotel within each category that you will stay in depends on your own requirements and the tee times allocated to you. We will always accommodate you in hotels conveniently located for golf.
Budget Hotels. These are small family run bed and breakfast accommodations, usually with no more than a half dozen rooms, all with private facilities, usually a shower. Start the day in the cosy breakfast room where your friendly host may offer a few pointers on local sightseeing, pubs and restaurants. A charming experience which is budget, but only in price.
Guest Houses & Small Hotels offering a very personal touch from the owner/manager. All rooms are en suite with either a shower or full bath. You are sure to make yourself at home in the restaurant and bar which will be equally as popular with the locals and with the centre of town only a short walk away.
Mid Priced Hotels selected for their uncompromising standards and prime locations, which have earned them an official Tourist Board 3 star first class rating, with all of the hotel facilities one expects from a quality hotel. Mid priced hotels offer superb dining, always with a focus on fresh, local produce. A high level of one to one service is provided, without the high price tag.
Deluxe 5 Star Hotels. We can offer a selection of prime, superior properties at very special rates, which will tempt even the most
budget conscious. If we are putting a customized trip together, we will be delighted to incorporate one or two of these gems
into your itinerary.

Courses:
The Ailsa course at Turnberry will once again be the venue for the British Open Championship in July 2009, only the fourth time the famous event will have been staged here. The Ailsa course is regularly acknowledged as one of Britain's top three golf courses, with consistent rankings in the world top 20. The golf course layout has received a makeover in advance of the 2009 British Open, including 19 new bunkers and added length. The Championship course will measure 7,211 yards in 2009, compared to 6,957 when Nick Price won at Turnberry in 1994.

Playing the Old Course is one of the greatest experiences in golf, it has played host to the greatest golfers in the world and produced many of golf's dramatic moments. Wide double fairways, seven extensive double greens, and a multitude of intimidating bunkers are just some of the unique features you will encounter.
Somewhat in the shade of its more famous neighbour the New courses is not new it was built in 1895 and many argue is a better test of golf than the Old Course. Certainly your ability to use all your clubs will be well tested as you attempt to conquer this championship links course. The course lies parallel to the Old Course and stray shots may have to be recovered from the Old Course itself. There are rolling, undulating fairways, fast and hidden greens, thick gorse and the ever-present testing wind. The New Course offers a different challenge to the Old but should be included in any golfing itinerary without question.

No one quite agrees about the origins of Carnoustie some say 1839, but others would have it as early as 1835. Several designers have been involved but it is James Wright who is credited with having produced the “toughest finishing stretch in golf.” Carnoustie has hosted the British Open on seven occasions and considered by many to be the most challenging of all Open venues. While the links is relatively flat it is exposed to the elements. A combination of length and accuracy are required from the tee and approach shots demand precision to the greens heavily guarded by steep bunkers and burns.
